So we just won a big case. We have been representing a group of dissident workers against the United Farm Workers union. Yes, the Cesar Chavez people. I am basically the Lex Luthor of farm labor, except Luthor wishes he had my car.
We just won an unfair labor practice trial that arose out of a union organizer convincing armed security to bar dissident worker protesters from entry to an Agricultural Labor Relations Board meeting. We are fighting to make the union announce its violation on its radio station, as the standard remedy for an unfair labor practice is notice. I have no idea what is going to happen.
I am not getting paid for this. What am I doing?
I hate to post without pictures, so you get a Pumpkin pic I posted before. Sue me, demonize me, get in line with the rest of my enemies. One more enemy ain’t gonna make a difference at this point. I have lost count.

Maybe bad business, but good karma.
But surely doing the right thing can only be good for business.

Its better to be bad at just business then being bad at both business and morality. You maybe doing one job pro bono, but at least you aren’t doing it while endorsing a known pedophile for the senate after having told everyone nazis are mighty fine people.

You’re doing a favor for hard working folks that deserve better union representation than the UFW can be bothered to provide. I don’t think there’s many union people (well outside the UFW) who would think you’re on the wrong side of this one.

I don’t think you really have to be good at business, you just have to be good enough to keep the lights on and the paychecks clearing.

Unions only work when they act in the interest of worker’s rights and not self preservation and perpetuation.
Sometimes acting against a union is good for those they represent in the end.

Luthor also wishes he had Toby.
Just sayin’...

I can totally see hipster Luther driving a Sunchaser.
As for the rest, you have to look yourself in the mirror each day. Sounds like you earned something to smile about.

I’m sure you’re not getting paid. We’re all sure.

Eh, you seem to be good enough at business. Not all unions are good unions. I’ve seen both sides of it. As I’ve said before, you strike me as a very even handed dude.

How are you not getting paid?

“except Luthor wishes he had my car”
I am starring you for this. Unfortunately this leaves me unable to star you for going up against bullies, so you’ll have to just imagine that one.
I’m generally in favor of the concept of unions. The practice however, as with most forms of human activity, is often lousy.

Anytime workers need representation against their union, something is wrong.

Making somebody happy I think.

Is this going to be a movie with mid-90s Matthew McConaughey in it?

Do you need a business manager?
